JOIN HRRA

Membership in the Hampton Roads REALTORS®  Association is the first step to real estate success! We offer tremendous opportunities to learn and earn more.

When you join the REALTOR® organization, you are joining one of the most powerful forces in Washington D.C. Everyday we vigilantly protect private property rights so that homeowners can realize the advantages of being a property owner and business owners can remain profitable creating jobs which in turn drives the demand for housing. We are a key player in formulating and/or influencing government policy regarding everything from Fair Housing to Fannie Mae. We also protect your pocketbook and increase your profitability through passage of laws that allow you to keep more income such as the recent 20% small business expense pass-through.

Your dues reflect dues for the local association, HRRA, the state association, Virginia REALTORS® (VAR) and the National association of REALTORS® (NAR). Our primary goal is your profitability and success through legislative advocacy, education and training, promoting the use of a REALTOR®, recognizing sales excellence, informing you of industry trends, and offering networking.

Please read your application materials carefully before submitting.

Step 1

Our online form is available here- just click!

If for some reason you need a paper form you can download and print the PDF version.

Step 2

Once online you will need to complete the form and click the Submit button at the bottom of the form. This automatically creates your new HRRA member Portal. Next you will pay HRRA & Virginia REALTORS® Application Fees and local, state, and national dues (After January, the dues prorate monthly for HRRA and NAR and quarterly for VAR. Once processed, you will have full access to HRRA’s products and services and will be placed in our database to begin receiving all HRRA communications. New member orientation is a requirement and you must attend one of the next  three new member orientations from the date you submit your application.

We are excited to have you onboard and welcome you; you will find HRRA to be critical to your long-term success as a REALTOR®. However, before you can call yourself a REALTOR® you need to complete new member orientation. The HRRA bylaws and the NAR constitution are quite specific about this requirement: “Applicants for REALTOR® membership and provisional REALTOR® members (where applicable) shall complete an orientation program on the Code of Ethics of not less than two hours and thirty minutes of instructional time. This requirement does not apply to applicants for REALTOR® membership or provisional members who have completed comparable orientation in another association, provided that REALTOR® membership has been continuous, or that any break in membership is for one year or less.”

New Member OrientationAttend one of the three upcoming live in-person orientation sessions. There are significant benefits to attending a live orientation. You will get to meet the staff, put a name with a face, and know who to ask for when you have a question. You will get an opportunity to network with your peers, learn tips that may have worked for them as new REALTORS®. You will learn about the programs and services of our affiliate sponsors, as you grow your business developing these relationships is essential. You will share fellowship with each other during a meal provided by our affiliate sponsor and receive your REALTOR® pin. The best part of attending a live session is that you get an opportunity for questions and answers, something we just cannot duplicate online. To register click here.
