New CE Requirements Effective July 1, 2024
In accordance with new laws effective July 1, 2024, three (3) hours of continuing education credits required for license renewal have been reallocated from the elective category to the mandatory category for both real estate salespersons and brokers.
One (1) additional hour of education is now mandatory in the Legal Updates with Flood Content, Agency and Contracts categories, for an updated total of two (2) credit hours in each category. The total number of continuing education credit hours required for license renewal has not changed.
Former CE Requirements
- Three (3) hours in Ethics & Standards of Conduct
- Two (2) hours in Fair Housing
- One (1) hour in Legal Updates with Flood Content
- One (1) hour in Real Estate Agency
- One (1) hour in Real Estate Contracts
- Eight (8) hours in Real Estate Related

- Three (3) hours in Ethics & Standards of Conduct
- Two (2) hours in Fair Housing
- Two (2) hours in Legal Updates with Flood Content
- Two (2) hours in Real Estate Agency
- Two (2) hours in Real Estate Contracts
- Five (5) hours in Real Estate Related
All salespersons and brokers must comply with these updated continuing education requirements during their next full license cycle – expiring July 2026 or later. If your real estate license expires prior to July 2026, your CE requirements will not change until the start of your next full license cycle.
