New Year, New Leaders: HRRA Installs 2025 Board and Recognizes Top Achievers
Virginia Beach, VA – On December 9, 2024, the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association (HRRA) installed its 2025 Board of Directors during the annual installation luncheon held at The Westin in Virginia Beach.
Jay Mitchell of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices RW Towne Realty was installed as the 2025 President by his Principal Broker, Barbara Wolcott, a past President of the Virginia Association of REALTORS® (VAR). VAR 2025 President Lorraine Arora, of BHHS PenFed Realty in the Dulles area, also participated in the installation ceremony.
The 2025 HRRA Board of Directors includes:

- President-Elect: Phil Kazmierczak – Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty
- Vice President: Sean Rooney – OWN Real Estate
- Treasurer: Greg Chaplain – The Real Estate Group

HRRA CEO Dr. Dawn Kennedy commended the new board, stating:
“While there may be challenges ahead, there is no group with more talent and integrity than the 2025 Board of Directors. The REALTOR® Association, on all levels—local, state, and national—are the gatekeepers of the American Dream. The HRRA leadership believes in our mission, as defined in the preamble of our Code of Ethics: ‘Under all is the land. Upon its wise utilization and widely allocated ownership depend the survival and growth of free institutions and of our civilization.’” It is important to note that while all REALTORS® are licensed agents or brokers, not all licensed agents or brokers are REALTORS®.
The luncheon also honored HRRA’s annual Service Award recipients:
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Becky Claggett (Century 21 Nachman Realty)
- Good Neighbor Award: Jennifer Cool (BHHS RW Towne)
- Broker of the Year: Cosette Lambourne Woods (Keller Williams Coastal Virginia)
- Affiliate of the Year: Osvaldo Santillan (VA Wholesale Mortgage)
- Affiliate Company of the Year: ABNB Federal Credit Union, represented by Kazmi
Recipients of the Good Neighbor Award receive a $1,500 donation to the charity they represent. This year, Ms. Cool was recognized for her outstanding work with the Coastal Virginia Conservancy.
HRRA congratulates its newly installed leadership and award winners as it continues its mission to serve REALTORS®, advocate for property rights, and promote the American Dream of homeownership.
