The Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation and the Old Dominion University Educational Foundation announce strategic partnership

Norfolk, VA – The Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation (HRRF) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Old Dominion University Educational Foundation. This collaboration marks the beginning of a series of impactful initiatives for HRRF in 2024.

HRRF has demonstrated its commitment to education and research by establishing a new scholarship initiative. A total scholarship commitment of $15,000 has been pledged, with an annual expenditure of $3,000 for five consecutive years. This scholarship program is designed to support students pursuing their academic endeavors at Old Dominion University’s Strome College of Business, fostering academic excellence, and contributing to the advancement of business knowledge.

"It’s a pleasure to be able to give money to people who will use it well to learn about [business and] real estate! This is what we’re all about. This is exciting. What can you do except hope that people go, ‘Yay! We have money to spend on scholarships!’?” exclaimed Jay Mitchell, 2024 Board Chairman of the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation. “And hopefully lots of people will make a bid to try to get some of that money.”

Old Dominion University students interested in applying for the scholarship for the Fall 2024 semester are encouraged to contact the Office of Student Financial Aid for more information.

"Old Dominion University’s Strome College of Business appreciates its long history of partnership with the Hampton Roads real estate industry,” added Michael J. Walker, Development Officer of Old Dominion University's Strome School of Business. “We thank the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation for its commitment to the Hampton Roads region and support for business education for ODU students.”

The Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation looks forward to the continued success of this partnership and the opportunities it will create for aspiring students at Old Dominion University. As a beacon of support for education and research, HRRF remains dedicated to making a lasting difference in the community.
