REALTORS® Have a Heart Volunteers Give Back to the Ronald McDonald House

Norfolk, VA – In a touching display of generosity, the REALTORS® Have a Heart taskforce, made up of dedicated REALTORS® and Affiliates from the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association, spent February 25, 2025, making a difference at the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Norfolk, Virginia. Volunteers devoted their day to revitalizing the space—deep cleaning the interior and exterior and organizing—ensuring that staff give undivided attention and resources to their residents.

This marks another meaningful partnership between REALTORS® Have a Heart and the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that provides a home away from home for families of children undergoing life-saving treatments at Norfolk General Hospital and the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.

“Our volunteers love giving back to Ronald McDonald House Charities because of the impact they are making in the lives of children and their families,” said Marah Chiara, Executive Director of the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation. “It is rewarding to help this organization so they can continue to house and support their residents at no charge. We want families in our community to focus on their family, not finances, during their most difficult times.”

Adding to the spirit of generosity, The Junkluggers volunteered their junk removal services, ensuring a refreshed and organized space for families in need. Additionally, Walder Foundation Products contributed an in-kind lunch sponsorship, providing nourishment to volunteers, staff, and residents.

For Colton Brant of Walder Foundation Products, this cause is deeply personal. “Growing up, my family and I experienced firsthand the invaluable resources and support that The Ronald McDonald House offers,” he shared. “This profound impact inspired me to give back and make a difference in the lives of others who may be facing similar challenges.”
