REALTORS® Serve Up Support for Families and Veterans at Chili Cook-off Event

Chesapeake, VA – The REALTORS® Have a Heart (RHAH) taskforce with the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Foundation (HRRF) hosted a successful toiletry drive at their association’s annual Chili Cook-Off, benefiting Chesapeake Public Schools and the Cypress Landing Veterans Community. Thanks to the generosity of nearly 400 HRRA members who attended, RHAH filled shelves and boosted supplies for both deserving organizations.

The event, which featured 28 unique chili recipes, used toiletry donations as the "entry fee," highlighting HRRA members' unwavering commitment to giving back.

RHAH is a hands-on advocacy initiative dedicated to advancing safe and affordable housing in the region. Its volunteers, made up of up to 50 REALTORS® and Affiliate members, partner with community organizations like ForKids, Edmarc, and Habitat for Humanity to build stronger, more vibrant communities for families, veterans, and children.

"We want to show the community that we care more about the people and neighborhoods we serve than just the houses we sell," said Sherry Snyder, REALTOR® and RHAH team lead.
