Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association Announces Endorsements for Local Office Candidates Across Southside Hampton Roads

 

Chesapeake, VA (August 16, 2024) — The Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association (HRRA) is pleased to announce its endorsements for local candidates running for office across Southside Hampton Roads. Following interviews with over 40 candidates, the HRRA Government Affairs Committee has endorsed the following individuals for their commitment to policies that support housing, economic development, and vibrant communities:

Chesapeake:

  • Rick West for Mayor
  • Robert Ike for City Council
  • Pat King for City Council

Franklin:

  • Richard Grizzard for City Council - Ward #2

Norfolk:

  • Kenneth Cooper Alexander, Ph.D. for Mayor
  • Carlos Clanton for City Council - Superward #7
  • Jeremy McGee for City Council - Superward #6

Portsmouth:

  • Shannon Glover for Mayor
  • Kitty Bryant for City Council
  • Davy Smith III for City Council

Suffolk:

  • Mike Duman for Mayor
  • Roger Fawcett for City Council - Sleepy Hole Borough

Virginia Beach:

  • Bobby Dyer for Mayor
  • Michael Berlucchi for City Council - District #3
  • Cash Green for City Council - District #7
  • Rosemary Wilson for City Council - District #5

The endorsement process is part of HRRA’s commitment to identifying and supporting candidates whose policies align with the needs of the real estate industry and the communities it serves. The Government Affairs Committee focused on candidates who prioritize housing affordability, economic growth, property rights, and the overall quality of life in Hampton Roads.
