HRRA's Young Professionals Network Revitalizes Historic South Norfolk Community Garden
Chesapeake, VA – [June 26, 2024] – The Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association (HRRA) Young Professionals Network recently gathered to rejuvenate the Historic South Norfolk Community Garden, promoting community well-being and sustainability in the city of Chesapeake.
Volunteers from HRRA, including members and staff, dedicated their day to painting various garden items, assembling garden beds, and filling these beds with fresh soil and mulch. This effort was made possible by the Level 2 Placemaking Grant awarded by the National Association of REALTORS®, which aims to help REALTOR® association members plan, organize, and maintain activities that transform underutilized spaces into more vibrant and welcoming sites for the community.
“The support from our volunteers and the NAR Level 2 Placemaking Grant was incredible,” said Morgan Xenos, Chair of the HRRA Young Professionals Network. “Seeing everyone come together to make a tangible difference in our community is truly inspiring.”
The HRRA Young Professionals Network remains committed to furthering community development and engagement, with more volunteer events planned for the future.
