Designed to allow REALTORS® to participate in the public policy process at the local, state and national levels, HRRA's government affairs program protects the professional interests of all Hampton Roads REALTORS®. Our primary goals are to protect private property rights, promote economic development, and maintain a pro-business environment conducive to the practice of real estate.

Get Involved

Mark your calendars for the Government Affairs Committee Meetings the first Thursday of every month at 1:00pm. Speakers address timely issues about government action and its impact on real estate, and our generous sponsors provide lunch. Check this month's calendar for details.

Every year HRRA travels to Richmond in early February to participate in REALTOR® Day on the Hill. We join our colleagues from across Virginia to meet with state legislators, inform them about what is happening in the market, and lobby for VAR's legislative agenda. Members are encouraged to get involved by signing up to serve on the Action Team in the city in which they live and vote.
